The latest Tron

My husband, father, and I went to see the latest instalment of Tron last night.  I was particularly excited because I have always enjoyed watching the old 1982 movie.  I was extremely excited as the opening scene and title played (lines create city streets and then camera rotates and "Tron" appears between skyscrapers).  The story began great and as expected.  However, I was greatly disappointed with the entire storyline, especially because Tron, the prior hero and significant character, was demoted to a simple demoralized role.  Although I was not pleased with the story, I found great enjoyment in the techno music (film score by Daft Punk).  I was also very pleased with the visual effects.  Overall I wasn't disappointed, just unsatisfied.
